There are times when, without knowing why, our hands feel the coldest. In winter, we need to wear gloves to keep our hands warm, while in summer, even when it is very hot, there are times when they are still cold.

You are one of those people that when you caress or touch someone you hear the typical phrase: “ Wow, what cold hands! “?

Well, first of all, we have to say that this characteristic doesn’t require much attention, as each person feels the cold and the heat in different ways; some are more sensitive than others. So far so good, but there is one factor that we must consider: if in addition to frequently feeling cold hands, we also feel very tired.

In this case, we must contact our doctor so that he can perform specific tests and diagnose the problem and its causes, that is, the relationship between tiredness and low body temperature, which, in some cases, may indicate a problem in the bloodstream. We will present below some problems that may be related to these factors.

We’ve talked about hypothyroidism on other occasions. In this case, we undergo an alteration in the thyroid gland, so that the hormone is released in the body in small amounts, making our metabolism slower.

For this reason, the body suffers several effects, such as weight gain, changes in skin and hair, and greater sensitivity to cold, especially in the hands and feet. The doctor is the best option to diagnose and determine the best treatment, but in the meantime, it is recommended to take care of your diet, increasing your iodine consumption a little.

The name may be a little scary, but don’t worry as this disease is not extremely serious. It’s a very peculiar disease.  It consists of the narrowing of blood vessels in the fingers and toes, especially when the body temperature drops and in cases of stress or anxiety. This problem is very evident because, in addition to the fingertips turning blue, it also causes discomfort and tingling.

When blood flow returns, the fingers become more red and the tingling is greater, sometimes creating a feeling of warmth. There are different degrees of Raynaud syndrome, milder and more acute.

It is not usually a common disease, but it is worth remembering that if you have cold hands, just be aware of the color of your fingers; if they are blue, more attention is needed and seek medical attention.

It can be considered as one of the main reasons for the feeling of cold in the hands at certain times, occurring when the level of iron in the body decreases. Feeling tired, hair loss, brittle nails… These are very common signs of anemia.

A simple blood test is enough to detect it. If this is your case, don’t worry, the doctor will indicate the best treatment for each type of anemia.

If you are too thin, it is possible that your body does not maintain its internal temperature due to the low body fat index, making you always feel cold. Another possibility is problems related to circulation, causing tingling in the hands, making it necessary to rub them together and perform small massages to stimulate circulation.

Usually, when the hands are cold, so are the feet, as they are the most extreme points of the body and, commonly in these extremities, the blood takes longer to arrive and renew itself, increasing the possibility of triggering problems.

As a recommendation, if in addition to these symptoms, you also feel tired, contact a doctor. It is not considered something serious, however, for your peace of mind and to rule out possible illnesses, the opinion of a specialist is essential.
